All these bear have the famous Steiff tag and gold button in the ear. The sign of quality and authenticity. Where as the white tag, with either red or black writing on are Limited edition real collectable items.
In 1902, the company began making a toy bear with moveable joints based on a design by Margarete Steiff’s nephew. Taking off in the United States, it was nicknamed after the then U.S. president Theodore Roosevelt, becoming the first “Teddy Bear”
